Naba is a very old bloodline/family name that comes from the medu word Neb which means priest/master/prophet. A bloodline that preserves the spiritual aspects of life : Keepers of the Shrines, Temples, and Divinities, etc.
Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig, was a Gourmantche from Fada N'Gourma (a city East of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso) who began his initiations when he was eight years old. As a young boy, Maakheru attended European schools at the same time while he was progressing through the traditional education and spiritual initiations. As he grew, Maakheru continued his education, and not only did he attend a colonial University in Kenya, but he also excelled in his traditional/spiritual education, eventually surpassing the level of his Masters to become one of the most knowledgeable spiritual authorities of the Dogon people.
The spiritual initiations taught in the Gourmantche/Dogon ethnic group are part of what modern anthropologists call the "Secret Societies" and "Mystery Schools". This spiritual knowledge is acquired only through very intense and challenging initiations that must be kept secret among the initiated communities. These initiations provide the disciples with the direct knowledge that migrated from the schools of Abtu (Abydos), Hetptahka (Memphis) and Uast (Thebes), and have been passed from generation to generation for millennia.
Maakheru was seen throughout Merita (Africa) as one of the top authorities of M'TAM knowledge, and he had been elected to bring this knowledge to the outside world. The elders of the initiation as well as the King of the Gourmantche people (Yoabili) allowed Neb (Master) Naba to spread the initiatic knowledge. Maakheru had visited over 127 countries and his presence had been requested in many Temples and Holy places all over the world. Neb (Master) Naba spoke thirteen languages, including English, French and German, and was a Master of "Egyptology" and Hieroglyphics. As a founder of the M'TAM schools (study of the Earth energies), Maakheru was proficient in these techniques.
Neb (Master) Naba was renowned worldwide as a spiritual Master. He was a Traditional Kemetic High Priest and Master Healer. Additionally, Maakheru was a parapsychologist, meta physician, writer, researcher, historian and cultural activist. He had researched and re-established the Sidereal Calendar (the only calendar that is astronomically correct and not based on social or religious events or beliefs), the Great Book of Divine Ordinances (the translation of the original papyri known as Nw, Nbsni, and Insa, which present the original seventy-seven commandments (before Christianity and the ten commandments) and the Mandala of Denderah (the original map of the sky, with the original constellations), among many other works.
Neb (Master) Naba's goal was never to stay in the US permanently. He came here to plant seeds within the eldest initiates, providing them with the ability to pass on his teachings to others. Also, he built a bridge, providing the initiates with the opportunity to bring their blood back home to Merita. He always had the plan of returning home to help preserve the culture because Merita is our foundation. His mission was to enter into the colonized areas to awaken the colonized youth and adults to the importance of preserving their traditional ways. Also, this awakening detailed the connection between the traditional ways and the Ancient Kemetic (African) civilization.
On the 21st of July 2008, The Maakheru Imak Naba transitioned into the Imentet. Neb (Master) Naba dedicated his life to educating people on humanity’s original spiritual system. It is due to his efforts that the initiatic knowledge of the Hapi (Nile) valley civilization has been made available to the world again after being hidden for more than 2,500 years.
